Electricity: the government against the private sector again.

Distributed generation is a fairly simple and logical phenomenon. Instead of generating electricity in distant points tens or hundreds of kilometers and bringing it to where it is consumed, it is generated at the point of consumption. This form of generation benefited from the use of solar or photovoltaic panels, which dropped in cost rapidly and you could generate from a 150 watt panel or less.
